A couple of weeks ago, my wife did a blog entry on her Friday Phone Dump (pictures she took from her phone that week). At the bottom of those pictures is a picture of her thumb nail. It has a brownish line stretching the whole length of her nail. She finally decided to do some research and found that it is definitely something that should be checked.
Long story short, she went to see Dr. Yaw to look at it. She really liked him and found him very personable. However, he also wasn’t all rosy with his words. He basically told her that there is a chance it could be Melanoma, and that if it was, then she could lose her thumb. She will go into the hospital tomorrow at 10:30 to have Dr. Yaw remove the nail, so he can biopsy for Melanoma. Preliminary results could be within 48 hours, but full results won’t be back for 1-2 weeks. So basically, these next 2 weeks could be the longest of my life.
With that said, I’m asking for all my friends to pray for my wife, Lauriann. I’m a firm believer that God answers our prayers, and the more that join in, the better.
